The Course tutor will be Tina Aughney from Bat Conservation Ireland

After the course participants will be able to

  1. Survey for a range of bats using  bat survey techniques. Different approaches that are  required in various  types of habitat will be explored.
  2. Use bat detectors and  interpret what they are hearing. A range of Bat detectors  will be available to test. Analysis of sonograms  using available software will be demonstrated.
  3. Access information to help carry out surveys and interpret results
  4. Mitigate in line with best practice.

The day will be classroom sessions and the evening will be surveying bats.

Note: Bat detectors will be available to test (but not for sale) and BCIreland reference book/dvds will be available to buy on the day.

Cost 195 euro  Dinner will be included. (Course will run from 11am to 9pm)
