Learn with a professional ecologist and experienced sea shore forager how to identify and use the following species confidently

  1. Dillisk
  2. Carrageen
  3. Spiral Wrack
  4. Wakame (atlantic)
  5. Nori
  6. Pepper dulse
  7. Sea Lettuce
  8. Sea grasses
  9. Sugar Kelp
  10. Channelled wrack

There will be a classroom session identifying each of the seaweeds followed by a few hours on the shore getting to find them in situ. Seaweeds will be tasted on the shore. Various ways of preparing seaweeds will be discussed. Note no cooking /food preparation is planned.
