We support several conservation projects in various capacities. We aim to run more conservation projects in 2015 in partnership with businesses under the Biodiversity Action Investment arm of the business.

Red Grouse Conservation

We are the landowners at Cregg hill (100ha) which is the subject of an award winning  Red Grouse Conservation Project in partnership with Clifden Gun Club. The aim of the project is to manage the hill for grouse and management strategies include  planned burning over a 20 year period, habitat enhancement for birds and predator control.

Little Tern Protection

We are currently raising money for signage on a small offshore island which supports 10% of the national little tern population. Signage will raise awareness of the breeding terns and help prevent disturbance.

Common Scoter Protection

We  support conservation management for Common Scoter Duck on Corrib which is carried out by Oughterard Anglers and Oughterard Gun Club.

Seaweed Mapping

We are currently using QGIS to map the seaweeds on the north west Renvyle coast.
